Its one thing to have a great guide to take you fishing, but you add a whole other dimension when that guide is also a Professional Bass Fisherman who has competed in the FLW. That is what you’ll get with Pete Gluszek, a highly respected bass pro, who along with Mike Iaconelli founded the Bass University. Pete has had (and still does) some very successful years tournament fishing, but the high lite of his career came while fishing the FLW circuit when he won a tournament at Lake Champlain.
Pete is also a great seminar speaker and when guiding he really focuses on the instructional aspect of fishing. In fact he prefers to call his guided trips “on water training”. No matter what level you are currently at, you’ll come away with knowledge to make you more successful when fishing.
Pete recently had a client out on the water and he was targeting big cold water largemouth bass, which can many times result in the fish of a lifetime during the early spring season. And that is exactly what happened! Check out this 7.1 lb. largemouth! Caught in the tidal waters of the Upper Chesapeake Bay, this lunker is a huge prize in the Notheast.
When you go fishing with Pete you’ll be able to learn patterns like the football jig, silver buddy, early season fish movements and early season retrieves that generate strikes from inactive fish. The spring rains usually stain the water which runs in the high 40 degree range, but don’t let that stop you because Pete is able to find areas that are protected from the cold runoff which are often times clearer and contain more active bass. It may take multiple casts in the cold water, but big bass often times need to see a lure three times or more in order to trigger a strike in cold water.
Trips are also available on the Delaware river and Lake Champlain and dates are limited so make plans to schedule something today! His current website will soon be updated with areas for blogs and videos so be sure to check that out in the coming weeks at www.petegluszek.com
